{"id":382,"date":"2019-04-03T20:36:08","date_gmt":"2019-04-03T18:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xa.ffzg.unizg.hr\/?p=382"},"modified":"2019-04-03T20:49:22","modified_gmt":"2019-04-03T18:49:22","slug":"veceri-kanadskog-filma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xa.ffzg.unizg.hr\/en\/ostalo\/veceri-kanadskog-filma","title":{"rendered":"Canadian film evenings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting with next week, English Student Club X.a. is organizing Canadian film evenings each Tuesday at 6.30 pm in room A-107.<br \/>\nWe kindly invite you to join us!<br \/>\nLink to the Facebook event page:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/307681776568294\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/307681776568294\/<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>English Student Club X.a., in cooperation with the Croatian Canadian Academic Society, presents:<\/p>\n<h3>CANADIAN FILM EVENINGS<\/h3>\n<p>Starting with <strong>April 9<\/strong>, each Tuesday we will screen a contemporary Canadian film in the <strong>French Department&#8217;s audiovisual study room (A-107)<\/strong> at our faculty.<\/p>\n<p>The films will be screened in anticipation of the panel discussion &#8220;Frontier Societies&#8221; which will take place as a part of our conference this year, Anglophonia: New Frontiers, which will take place between 9 and 11 May at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>This year, we have also prepared a preliminary &#8220;Reading and Watching&#8221; list to accompany our conference, which includes works that will be discussed by the presenters, but also the films which we will be showing. You can see the list <a href=\"http:\/\/anglophonia.ffzg.unizg.hr\/conference-reading\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thus on April 9, after a brief introduction by professor Vanja Poli\u0107, we will be showing the first film &#8211; a documentary named &#8220;Stories We Tell&#8221; (2012), directed by Sarah Polley. Snacks and beverages are waiting, and the only thing you have to do is show up and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>The films will be projected exclusively for educational purposes and for broadening the public&#8217;s knowledge of cinema, and as such the screenings are completely free.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting with next week, English Student Club X.a. is organizing Canadian film evenings each Tuesday at 6.30 pm in room A-107.
