In the election that took place on 27 May 2019, a new English Student Club X.a. leadership was elected.

We invite students to apply to the workshop American Studies Today – Paths, Paradigms, Strategies, organized by our colleague, Lovro Furjanić, a PhD student, and the English Student Club X.a.
The workshop will take place on 25 and 26 October 2019, and it is available to students on all levels of study. The deadline for applying is 10 June 2019, and the workshop is completely free.

English Student Club X.a., in cooperation with the Croatian Canadian Academic Society, presents:
Starting with April 9, each Tuesday we will screen a contemporary Canadian film in the French Department’s audiovisual study room (A-107) at our faculty.
The films will be screened in anticipation of the panel discussion “Frontier Societies” which will take place as a part of our conference this year, Anglophonia: New Frontiers, which will take place between 9 and 11 May at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
This year, we have also prepared a preliminary “Reading and Watching” list to accompany our conference, which includes works that will be discussed by the presenters, but also the films which we will be showing. You can see the list here.
Thus on April 9, after a brief introduction by professor Vanja Polić, we will be showing the first film – a documentary named “Stories We Tell” (2012), directed by Sarah Polley. Snacks and beverages are waiting, and the only thing you have to do is show up and enjoy.
The films will be projected exclusively for educational purposes and for broadening the public’s knowledge of cinema, and as such the screenings are completely free.

ENGLISH STUDENT CLUB X.A. is pleased to announce the fourth International Anglophone Conference for Young Scholars ANGLOPHONIA: NEW FRONTIERS, which will take place FROM 9TH TO 11TH MAY 2019 at the FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES IN ZAGREB, Croatia. The conference will provide a platform for young scholars (BA, MA and PhD students, graduates and scholars who have recently obtained a PhD ) to discuss their works in a friendly, yet professional environment. The aim of the conference is to connect young and promising researchers who share an interest in all areas of Anglophone studies by providing them with an opportunity to exchange information, ideas, and views.

we kindly invite you to get involved in organizing another edition of our annual Anglphonia student conference, this year subtitled “New Frontiers”! For those who may not know, Anglophonia is a student conference organized by the English Student Club X.a. and is held annually in May, attracting presenters from various European countries. The Organizing Committee is a great opportunity for both spending quality time with friendly people and gaining organization skills. The application deadline is October 31st.

Došlo je vrijeme da se održi druga sjednica Skupštine Kluba studenata anglistike u ovoj akademskoj godini na kojoj će se provesti izbori. Izborna sjednica će se održati 29. svibnja u 20:30 u A-001 kada će se izabrati novo vodstvo Kluba.
Napominjemo kako prema Statutu Kluba studenata anglistike, čl. 41, Potpredsjednika/icu i Tajnika/icu predlaže novoizabrani/a Predsjednik/ica, a potvrđuje Skupština.
